Feminist books every child should read
Before we scroll down and start reading the list of feminist books. We first need to admit that we have a problem. A big problem that will take years to get solved.
I have not lived in any other part of the world other than India and I know it is a big problem here. Not only for me, the girl & mom from the Entertainment Capital of India, Mumbai but also for all the women I saw in the documentaries made on India. The biggest slap on my face as a citizen on this beautiful country was the documentary Period : End of sentence.
As a woman who most of the times was alone behind the camera on the sets. I know how ugly things can get for both the genders. But the good part is, we today have the opportunity to raise little feminists and teach our children about equality one book at a time.
So here is a list of books that are empowering and believe in equality –
